Adirondack Inclusion Movement

The Inclusive Playground Project!

Schroon Lake

Adirondack Inclusion Movement’s first project toward building accessible community spaces is to create a truly inclusive playground in Schroon Lake. We believe every child and caregiver deserves a place to play, regardless of their abilities. We envision a place where all children can come together to learn, grow, and create lifelong memories and friendships. The playground design includes ramps and rubber turf to support those with mobility devices, as well as accessible spinners, rockers, slides, and swings! The playground will be located behind the Schroon Lake Central School building which will give all students with disabilities equal access to recess!

Though the cost of the playground is enormous, we’ve broken it down into phases and have set goals for various fundraisers, grant funding, and corporate sponsorships. Through our tireless action, we have raised over $20,000 toward the playground. Our current goal is lofty but with your help, we think we can raise an additional $10,000 in direct donations by the end of 2025! If you would like to support the inclusive playground project, please click the donate button below! We appreciate your generosity and are certain that everyone who lives, works, visits, and lives in our community, will benefit from more accessible spaces like this playground!

Help us reach our next $10,000 increment goal toward the

INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND!
